Plot Bunny

Okay, Figure Eight is winding down. So is The Geek's Guide to Parenthood and Finding Love Through Music. I've got a few plot bunnies floating around in my head. I've started two: Starlet and Angels and Monsters. Now, I've got a third idea.

Bella Swan works as a nurse in a local hospital in Chicago in the ER. She's older (thirty) and desperate for love. It's hindered by her shy personality and plump body. Her father, whom she lives with, teases her relentlessly for being fat and single. (Charlie will be a douche in this. Sorry to all my Charlie lovers...).

Edward Cullen, thirty-three, is hired as a doctor in the emergency room. He's just getting over a divorce. He moved to Chicago to be closer to his family: sister, Rosalie and brother, Jasper. Rosalie is younger than Edward by ten years and is struggling with an eating disorder brought on by a heinous rape of her ex-boyfriend. Jasper, twenty-seven, is finishing up his doctorate in history.

Bella is charmed by this new doctor in the ER. He's kind and thinks about his patients and maintains a friendly rapport with the nurses and the orderlies. Edward is intrigued by the sad nurse who does her job efficiently but doesn't have a sparkle in her eyes.

Will she allow Dr. Cullen into her life or will she let her insecurities get in the way of her happiness? Perhaps, Doctor Feelgood can write her a prescription. A prescription for love...

God, that's lame...but should I do it? Huh?

Leave me some comments on your opinions of my latest plot bunny. Laters!

  2. I think it sounds really good, and to tell you the truth, kind of refreshing. Stories with a more "normal-sized" Bella are few and far between, so it would be nice to read about one who isn't the normal petite and tiny type! But even more intriguing would be the way the relationship develops. Done right, and I'm sure you would, it could be really, really good, so I agree, I vote YES! I don't know how you do it, juggling all these plotlines in your head, but I'm glad you do! I've been wanting to read all of them, and plan to start as soon as I finish a few of the WIP's I have going. So wish I had all day to read. Your stories alone could keep me busy!

Have to admit, I'm interested in knowing how you will fit in Rosalie's eating disorder/past tragedy but I trust you :) You always have wonderful stories, so this one would be no different!
