That story was up for Top Ten Fics Completed in July at
TwiFanfictionRecs ... we came in second! I’m so thankful for everyone
who took the time to vote for #Mobward and #Dolce. They appreciate it
very much.
Secondly, I was nominated for a few Golden Onion
Awards, which was organized by the ladies over at TwiFandom News. With
your votes, A Single Step and A Modern Day Fairy Tale came
in second and third place for Favorite Fic of the Year. And much to my
shock and surprise, I was nominated for Author of the Year and I came in
first!

This story is one of those stories that is iconic.
I love this Edward ... he’s sexy and so freaking yummy. It’s also
written by one of the best partnerships in the fandom: Sarge’s Girls ...
you can’t go wrong with Coming Home.

teacher Bella sends a care package and letter to Army sergeant Edward,
who is stationed in Afghanistan. They begin a relationship through
letters, phone calls, and video chats. There's love, there's language,
and there's adult situations, plus a strong, independent Bella and the
Edward we all know and love.
Day #18: A fic by an author who is no longer in the fandom
I miss Lexi. One of the first stories I’ve read when I started fic was The Story of Us.

Edward Cullen came to Port Jervis for a new career little did he know
he would find the true love of his life, none other than coworker Bella
Swan. What happens when you get everything you could ever want when you

Story of us Sequel. If you haven't read 'The Story of Us', please do so
before you read this. What happens after HEA? Sixteen years later and

Sometimes
you need a quick pick-me-up. A story that is filled with fluffy
goodness, with a touch of angst, and you can finish in one sitting. The
first one is Penalty Shot by Edward’s Eternal.
Recently
divorced, Bella struggles to find a new life for her and her son Jake.
Enter Edward and his son, Emmett. Used to being alone, finding Bella is
an unexpected surprise for Edward. Blending their lives together
sometimes requires an extra shot on goal to even things up. A simple,
heartwarming story of two single parents finding love again, healing and
building a new family.
Another wonderful story by Edward’s Eternal is another favorite quick read ... Out of the Mouths of Babes.

little world explodes he will do anything to piece it back together. But

Day #20: A fic that makes you want to fall in love
When
I was at my lowest, going through a divorce, I read this story and it
restored my faith in love. Have I fallen in love again? No, but Tides of Fate by SparklingTwilight just gives you warm fuzzies (and some hot schmexy times).
After
four years in a bad relationship, and two years of depressed seclusion,
Alice and Rosalie drag best friend Bella on a tropical vacation
designed by fate. AH OOC. B/E, R/Em, A/J. Rated M for future lemony
goodness and occasional strong lang.PLS R&R.
Day #21: A fic you can get lost in
I’ve never been to Key West by PattyRosa but this story makes me want to go.
Bella
is 5 minutes away from what's to be her happiest day - when a phone
call changes it all. Frustrated and pissed-off, she embarks on a 10 day
vacay to Key West, hoping for some space in which to clear her head, but
when she meets the cocky, flirty and sexy-as-sin diving instructor, her

Day #12: A fic that breaks your heart
This
story ... when I read it, my heart shattered into a million little
pieces. Bella was dealt such a shitty hand, but she got her Edward.
Using
her best friends offer of marriage to escape a bad situation at home
Bella hopes she's finally landed on her feet but she's just swapped one
bully for another and this one wants her,and her baby, to pay for his
broken heart. Love, loss, sacrifice. AH
Day #13: A fic that introduced you to the fandom
The first story I read from the fandom was The Gentleman from Washington State by Betty Smith. It's been published as A Political Affair by Mary Whitney.

Day #8: A fic about drugs or alcohol
Since
my dad is a functional alcoholic, I tend to steer clear of drug/alcohol
stories. However, I did write a story with a recovering drug user
Edward and Bella. Edward Cullen: A Work in Progress
Edward
Cullen is a jerk. He's a moody musician and artist who is wary about
life and is recovering from a nasty drug overdose. Emmett, his best
friend, offers him an opportunity to redeem himself and work with his
best tattoo artist in his shop.EXB,AH - Mature Audiences, only. Strong
themes with references to drugs and sexual assault.
There were also drug elements in the La Cantante Sequel, La Musica Del Cuore ... Emmett developed a drug habit.
They
met at Emerson University, fell in love and began their journey. Four
years after the release of their first single, Edward and Bella Cullen
are still going strong and happy with their lives. Ghosts from their
past rear their ugly heads and will it be too much for this couple? Only
time will tell, but one thing is steadfast ...
I forgot about Drotuno's Man Behind the Mask ... big deal with drugs/alcohol ...
What

life of sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll. He's living the dream that has

Day #9: A fic that reminds you of your first love
When I wrote this one, I remembered my time in college. I fell in love for the first time, the ONLY time, really ... La Cantante.

is a freshman in college studying to be a music teacher. Edward is a

They both meet and sparks fly. However, Bella's past may make it

I’ve never read either one of these stories, but I will add them both to my TBR. The first one is Filthy Pirate by 2Brown-Eyes.

The first one is one of my favorite Vampwards. It deserves so many more reviews. Check out Tangled Web by m7707 (the same author who wrote Major Misconduct).

Nerdward. This story introduced me to Nerdward ... he’s so adorkable and
amazing. I love this one ... Setting It All Up by NoelleSeven.

The third one that deserves so many more reviews is by Mina Rivera. Life, Love and Madame Esme gives me hope that even after my divorce, there’s hope for love.
Isabella
is a successful writer, whose life is thrown into disarray when her
husband leaves her for another woman. To escape her routine life, she
accepts an assignment to interview a Parisian Madame. Isabella believes
this Madame is running a brothel and vows to expose her for what she is,
but Isabella will soon discover that Madame Esme has different plans

was the leader of her people. He was a gruff, by-the-book star ship
captain. An interstellar war, negotiations for a peace treaty gone wrong
and a taboo relationship between two species. Will they survive this
threat or are the Star Crossed lovers doomed before they even have a

and Edward have been friends for as long as they could remember. Bella
was just dumped by her boyfriend, Paul and Edward had been single for a
long time. One thing leads to another after a night of drunken passion.
Bella suggests to Edward that they be friends with benefits. What
happens when one realizes that they want more?
Day #6: A fic based on song lyrics
I only have one suggestion and it’s a work in progress. I adore this song by Alessia Cara. As soon as it’s complete, I will be reading Scars to Your Beautiful by BitterLady.
We
all live with scars: some we choose; some were chosen for us. We can
let our scars define us or we can let them make us stronger. And at
Olympic Med, a place where their job is to save lives, two broken people
come to find their salvation in each other, scars and all. *An A/H

Bound Series by Clo Rodeffer. The first story is Bound to the Family.

is she exactly what is needed to balance this man.
Sequel
to Bound to Family. A continuing story of Don Edward Cullen and Donna
Isabella Volutri-Cullen as they begin their new adventures in combining
two power crime families together, while exploring their
Dominant/submissive relationship in Master Edward's playroom. Can they
keep their families safe, their relationship safe, or will outside
forces tear it apart?
The third in the series is Bound and United.
Bound
and United is the third installment of the Bound Series. It continues
the story of Don Edward and Donna Bella as they fight with their most
evil villian yet. Will they be able to fight death and be joined once
more or will they be forever torn apart from each other?
Finally, I have one that I enjoyed writing and got lost while writing it. A Prescription for Love ...
Bella
Swan works as a nurse at Cook County Hospital in the ER. She's older
and desperate for love. It's hindered by her shy personality and plump
body. Her father, whom she lives with, teases her relentlessly for being
fat and single.
Edward Cullen, thirty-three, is hired as a doctor
in the ER. He's getting over a divorce. He moved to Chicago to be
closer to his family: sister, Rosalie, and brother, Jasper. Rosalie is
younger than Edward by ten years and is struggling with an eating
disorder brought on by a heinous rape of her ex-boyfriend. Jasper,
twenty-seven, is finishing up his doctorate in history.
Bella is
charmed by this new doctor in the ER. He's kind and thinks about his
patients and maintains a friendly rapport with the nurses and orderlies.
Edward is intrigued by the sad nurse who does her job efficiently but
doesn't have a sparkle in her eyes.
Will she allow Dr. Cullen into
her life or will she let her insecurities get in the way of her
happiness. Perhaps, Dr. Feelgood can write her a prescription. A
prescription for love...
