So, I'm toying with this idea. I've always been in love with figure skating. I actually took lessons and competed when I was much, MUCH younger. Anyhow, here's my idea...
Bella Swan and Jacob Black are pairs partners for the United States. They hate each other but are unstoppable on the ice. They have won Nationals three times in a row and well on their way to go for their fourth. During practice, Jacob lands funny and injures his knee. This completely sidelines him.
Enter Edward Masen...he's an English pairs skater who is looking for a new partner. His previous partner, Tanya Juneau was banned from the sport because she took illegal steroids after a back injury. Edward is a strong skater but is tainted because of his previous partner.
Bella's coach, Carlisle Cullen, interviews Edward and encourages him to work with Bella. She's apprehensive since she knows about his partner's reputation. She doesn't want to lose her fourth Nationals because of being disqualified. She eventually relents and they begin working together.
So, that's what I've got floating around in my head. I want to do a character outline and hopefully have something up later next week.
Also, the title for this latest story is 'Figure Eight.'
Cute name! I like it, I love reading and watching stories involved with skating. Used to take lessons when I was little too... probably couldn't skate if my life depended on it now but... ya know haha.
