The weeks following our debut on the radio were mad. I mean,
absolutely crazy. Our song, ‘Shattered’ flew up the charts. We were invited to
play for several shows in the New York area. Bella and I worked with Adele to
continue working on our album.
Kellan offered to be
our manager. He had done so much for us that we easily considered him for the
job. We drew up a contract with Jenks and Kellan was hired. He actually fell
into the position pretty easily. He was very professional and really knew his
stuff. As it turned out, Kellan used to work for another recording company
prior to his gig as the manager for talent at Eclipse. He was let go when the
recording company went under but always kept his eyes out for new talent. He
was grateful that we had fallen into his lap, as it were.
Alice was released from the treatment facility. She was
slowly getting better and I could see a glimpse of my sister. There was a
sparkle in her eyes and a spring in her step. She said that if she continued
along this path, she’d be able to go back to school. Also, the relationship
with Jasper was slowly rebuilding. They weren’t ‘dating’ but they were talking
and trying to understand their problems. Whenever Jasper had to fly in for
recording sessions, they’d go to couple’s therapy with Alice’s psychiatrist.
The hugest change was the appearance of crazed fans. People started
showing up to where we work, asking for autographs and pictures. Bella and I
had to go to my parents’ home for a few days just to get away. We had people
stalking our apartment and it was madness. Complete madness, I tell you.
