2 pounds of asparagus, ends trimmed
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Garlic powder, to taste
The juice of one lemon
1/4 cup of pine nuts
Heat oven to 450 degrees with the rack in the upper third of the oven.
On a baking sheet, toss the asparagus, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder and lemon until evenly coated. Arrange in a single layer and sprinkle with salt.
Roast for about five minutes, shake the pan and add the pine nuts, then roast until the asparagus is tender when pierced, an additional five minutes.
