The car ride was sizzling with sexual tension. With each caress of Edward’s thumb over her palm, lightening zipped through Bella’s body, making her more turned on. She kept shifting in her seat.
“You’re awfully squirmy, Bella,” Edward smirked as he drove to Escala, the high-rise condo complex where he lived.
“Just eager to … feel you, taste you,” Bella purred.
Now, it was Edward’s time to squirm. He adjusted his length and shot Bella a heated glare at a stoplight. When it turned green, he peeled away and weaved through traffic to get to home. Pulling into the garage, he parked in his assigned spot. He blew out a harsh breath, looking at Bella. She was grinning coyly. “Dangerous creature,” Edward growled, leaning across, and kissing her mouth.
She nipped at his lower lip, tangling her fingers into his messy hair. She giggled against his mouth and pulled back. “We’re at your condo, Edward. I think we need to move this from your car to someplace more comfortable. I really like the idea of being tangled in your sheets.”
“Good point,” he breathed. He got out of the car, opening Bella’s door, and pinning her against it. He kissed her, lost in her softness, her scent, her body … “Truly, you’re a dangerous creature, Bella.”
“So says the man who looks like a walking sin,” Bella teased, gently pushing him back but taking his hand. With a chuckle, they walked to the elevator and rode up to Edward’s home on the twentieth floor. Unlocking the door, Edward guided Bella inside. She looked around, smiling softly. His place was the complete opposite of hers … open, modern, clean, and stark. “You were right about the lack of green things.”
“Compared to your place, my condo must appear to be so cold,” Edward frowned. “I bought this place after we were featured in that magazine. No roommates, no rent … something that was totally mine.”
“Did you live with Emmett?” Bella asked.
“Unfortunately,” Edward snorted. “And for a while, we lived in the back room of the gym when money was tight. Emmett is a great business partner, but an awful roommate. So, this place is my dream realized. My mom did decorate it for me, so this is more her aesthetic.”
