All the Feels ...

I'm feeling strangely philosophical and reminiscent this evening.

I began reading Twilight while I was still married in 2009. I'd read the novels more times than I could count. I'd stay up at all hours, listening to the movie soundtracks while I read the epic tale of Bella and Edward.

Then, I watched the movies. Now, they were not cinematic masterpieces. They did, however, bring the characters that I'd adored to life. They brought Rob Pattinson into my world and ten years later, I'm still fangirling hard for that man.

In 2010, I began writing my first story, La Cantante. It was the first step in this journey within the fandom. I loved reading the fanfics on Twilighted (remember that?!) and FFn. I wanted to try writing one of my own. Then, a reviewer said that there were FB groups dedicated to TwiFics. She invited me into a few and the rest ... as they say ... is history.

Now, what I've been really thinking about is that I've been a part of this fandom for over ten years. TEN YEARS! I can't even fathom that. My relationship with this fandom has lasted longer than my marriage. You've been with me through so much and I consider so many of you friends, my fandom family.

We take care of our own.

We fight.

We laugh.

We cry.

We cheer.

We mourn.

I'm so blessed to have all of you, your friendship and support. I love every relationship that has grown from this hobby of writing, reading and loving fanfiction.

Here's to many more ...

  1. I think I've followed you from the beginning or very close to it.
Started reading Twilight fanfiction in 2010. The year my first grandchild was born, at my daughter's recommendation. It helped pass the long nights so my daughter could get some rest.
    I haven't stopped, lol.
Thank you for sharing your creative ideas through words.
I'm not a writer but thoroughly enjoy reading your works.
Thanks again for bringing joy to my world.
